Are you looking to further develop your clinical skills and improve your communication, leadership and mental health? The SNiP-it Mentor program is structured to provide ongoing training above and beyond the basic surgery techniques.
I had the privilege of working with Dr. Gray when I was a veterinary student. I actually performed my first dental there under her guidance! She taught all the concepts clearly and gave me practical tips to use in clinical practice. Dr. Gray provided me with key mentorship and even 12 years later I am extremely grateful! ~ Dr. Michael Rogers
I would like to say Dr. Gray was a fantastic teacher. She is very patient and kind and does not stress out the students. Her method of spay and neuter is very helpful and easy to learn from as well! She has a lot of experience and I’m so thankful for all of the lessons she taught me. Even in practice I still use them today. ~ Dr. Natalie McKeon
The SNiP-it Mentor program is a one to two week program based on your needs and availability. The scope of the program is tailored to senior veterinary students and will have its primary focus to provide hands-on mentoring for spay neuter surgeries. The student will work with the mentor doctor at a pace that is suitable for each student’s level of confidence and experience. Students may have the opportunity to perform soft tissue surgeries other than spay/neuter at the mentor doctor’s discretion. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in basic dental prophylaxis and extractions.
SNiP-it is located in the heart of the Theme Park Capital of the country. The closest beach is only 45 minutes away and there are many environmental activities such as hiking, biking and kayaking. The average annual temperature is 72 degrees.
We work 4 – 10 hour days per week which provides plenty of downtime to explore all the area has to offer and unwind after the fast paced work week.
Our veterinarians have over 40 years of experience combined. You are sure to expand your technical skills as well as managing your stress, communication and interpersonal skills. Our staff works as a team at the clinic and outside of work.
