Our Dental Policy will take place in 3 phases over 3 appointments. First a pre-check is required to determine if a dental cleaning is needed.
Appointment #1
A Dental Pre-Check appointment is for the doctor to listen to your pet to determine if your pet is a good candidate to go under anesthesia. This appointment is free, but if your pet requires pre-anesthetic bloodwork that will be an additional cost. The veterinarian may request a pre-anesthetic blood tests to ensure that kidney and liver function are satisfactory for anesthesia, as well as an evaluation of the heart and abdomen if needed. Pre-anesthesia blood work is mandatory for all animals over 8 years old. At this appointment you will receive a date for Phase 2, which includes an exam and radiographs (X-rays under anesthesia). You need to pay a $50 deposit to set up the next appointment. Deposit policy applies.
Appointment #2
This appointment will be an anesthetic appointment. Your pet will be dropped off at 7:30 am and picked up at 4pm. Please no food after midnight. Your pet will be placed under anesthesia for radiographs and exam. The doctor will examine your pet’s mouth and the radiographs to provide an estimate. Once this phase is complete you will be given a quote for the cleaning and if any extractions are required. To book your next appointment a deposit will be required for one third of the lowest quoted amount. This quote will only be valid for 60 days. Deposit policy applies.
Appointment #3
This appointment will be for the dental cleaning and any required services. Your pet will be dropped off at 7:30 and picked up at 5pm. Please no food after midnight. If for some reason we feel your pet needs additional services, we will call you before proceeding. Payment in full will be due at pick up.
There is a $100 Mission fee for unaltered animals.
